After the shock of lossing our household member Daisy in June we had only one dog for a couple of months. We found that Winston was a very lonely and perhaps depressed little dog. On October 6 we picked up another Shih tzu puppy. After some lengthy family discussions the new household pet is Pippa.
Pippa was about 15.5 weeks old, and a bundle of stuborn energy when we brought her home. She has been learning ropes in her new digs, and working on getting some play time out of Winston. The breeder we purchaed Pippa from is Opal Shih Tzu of Mount Pearl here in Newfoundland. The breeder has a house full of dogs, so things might be a little too quiet here for her.
Pippa found some of the old puppy sized toys in the dog basket. She even tried out the hard chew ball once belonging to Blaze. Still needs some naps and quiet time though.
